Project Overview

Hugh Newell Jacobsen was one of the most well-known and respected architects. His work is plain and simple art. When one of his homes, which had previously never been photographed or filmed, was going to be sold, the Robinson Team decided that a video was needed to tell a story of the house.

What We Did

With so much freedom and direction of “don’t make a normal real estate video,” we started by uncovering as much as we could about this home. A few emails later, we were on a flight to Washington D.C. to interview the son of Hugh Newell Jacobsen. In learning about the home, we learned of it’s poetic nature, and worked with a local poet in Genesis the Greykid to help model in the home. Ultimately this video helped go on to allow this home to be the highest sale price in the history of Southeast Tennessee.
